Parents and Players: Please complete this form to the best of your ability. Winter Ball is not associated with Carlsbad High School Athletics. All games and practices are ran and put on by Lancer Baseball School and Carlsbad Baseball Boosters. Participation or making a winter ball roster does not guarantee a spring roster spot. The cost associated for Winter Ball will be in the range of $250-$300 per player. This will be confirmed at a later date and will be due the week teams are announced.The winter season will begin at the end of October and will run thru the beginning of February. Games will be on Saturdays beginning in early November. This cost will compensate coaches for the winter season, game balls, and pay necessary game fees for umpires. If you are unable to pay for the cost associated for winter ball, please contact Coach Scott De Jong for confidential scholarship application. Winter Ball is not required but is highly encouraged. 

*Travel Ball play should be completed by the end of October*

We will have a Varsity, JV, and Freshmen roster. Roster size will be around 20. 

Tryout Dates

Friday, October 18: Sophomores-Seniors 1:30-4:00 (PE Period), Freshmen 3:45-5:15pm

Monday, October 21: Freshmen 1:45-4-15pm.

Tuesday, October 22: Sophomores-Seniors 1:30-4:00 (PE Period), No Freshmen.

Rosters will be posted on website late Tuesday evening.

Players that play a Fall Sport must attend at least one tryout. It is the responsibility of the player to communicate with their fall sport coach.

*There will be a mandatory parent meeting for all parents of players who make the Varsity Winter Ball roster on the evening of October 23.*

Practices schedule is TBD. Players will practice 2-3x’s per week.
